DfE Performance Tables
“We would like to congratulate you, your staff and your pupils on the very high standard of achievement demonstrated in the reading Key Stage 2 assessments last year.
Your school's results, as published on 13 December, show that 100 per cent of your pupils reached or exceeded the expected standard in reading at the end of Key Stage 2. This means that for achievement in reading, your school is in the top 1% of primary schools in England.
We want to equip every child with the fluency in reading necessary to prepare them for a successful secondary education and beyond, and your school has provided this to all your pupils .” Damien Hinds MP and Nick Gibb MP February 2019
Year 6 SATS 2025
Provisional Results for end of KS2 SATs
We would like to provide a little more context to year 6 SATs results. Please keep in mind that these results reflect just one day of assessment. Our teacher assessment and evaluation process encompasses a broader spectrum of children's abilities and achievements over time.
Through out the year, we have been incredibly impressed by how the children have risen to the challenges presented to them. Each student has demonstrated our core values of Respect, Creativity and Courage, doing their very best to excel in all areas.
At West Meon School, we believe education is not solely about academic performance. We aspire to develop the holistic child, nurturing overall qualities such as critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence, which will serve them well in their future endeavours. We want each child to feel confident and prepared as they transition to secondary education.
We encourage you to consider the end of KS2 SATs as part of a larger picture of our children's learning journey. We are immensely proud of all their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Children’s individual progress is most important and as such a small school each child is a larger percentage than in a bigger school. Congratulations to this Year 6 for their great results and progress.
