Visit to Corhampton Church
On Monday 27th November 2017 Class 3 paid a visit to Corhampton Church as part of learning about Saxons in the Meon Valley.
The church was built in 1020AD during the reign of King Canute and has remained largely unchanged. The children learnt how the church was built and the type of people who worshipped there. The very old yew tree, which is believed be as old, if not older, than the church was a source of interest, if not amusement to the children. They linked hands around the girth to give it a big hug!
